DT Swiss Wheel Hub Replacement Bearing Set - NTN

$60.00Price

NTN bearings provide a great replacement for your DT Swiss wheels. All replacement bearings are premium-quality, made-in-Japan NTN bearings (some models are made in Germany). They are stocked in our Australian warehouse and directly imported from an official Tier 1 NTN distributor in Japan.

Many different bearing combinations are used in DT Swiss hubs, which can be confusing. The good news is that DT Swiss hubs use only a limited range of bearing sizes. By identifying the hub axle diameter, such as 15mm, 17mm, 18mm, or 25mm, you can determine the corresponding bearing with a matching inner diameter.

  • About NTN Japan

NTN is a 100-year-old bearing manufacturer in Japan, still making their bearings in Japan. The build and quality are second to none in steel bearing area. With years of testing in cycling, their non-contact seal LLB range has been proven to suit cycling the best. It is not the cheapest steel bearing, but it is truly worth the investment if you are a commuter or casual rider. They are smooth and can last a long time, saving you from frequent visits to your bike store for replacements.

    • Non-contact seals (LLB): reduce friction and enhance efficiency, allowing for improved speed and control in cycling.
    • LLB vs LLU Seal: The LLB seal is a non-contact type seal used in NTN bearings. It features very low torque and excellent dust-proofing. Its high-speed capacity is comparable to open-type seals, delivering minimal friction in wheel hubs. A light, waterproof grease is applied to enhance its waterproofing capabilities, making it ideal for cycling.

On the other hand, the LLU seal is a contact type, which results in medium torque during bearing rotation. While it offers good dust and waterproofing features, its performance is limited by the contact nature of the seals. LLU seals are typically used in industrial applications where the working environment is more demanding.

For smooth, low-friction, high-performance cycling on both road and gravel, the LLB seal is the ideal option.
