- Non-contact seals (LLB): reduce friction and enhance efficiency, allowing for improved speed and control in cycling.
- LLB vs LLU Seal: The LLB seal is a non-contact type seal used in NTN bearings. It features very low torque and excellent dust-proofing. Its high-speed capacity is comparable to open-type seals, delivering minimal friction in wheel hubs. A light, waterproof grease is applied to enhance its waterproofing capabilities, making it ideal for cycling.
On the other hand, the LLU seal is a contact type, which results in medium torque during bearing rotation. While it offers good dust and waterproofing features, its performance is limited by the contact nature of the seals. LLU seals are typically used in industrial applications where the working environment is more demanding.
For smooth, low-friction, high-performance cycling on both road and gravel, the LLB seal is the ideal option.
